Hey, Thanks Mom

Any excuse to rearrange...add a tea towel...add a pillow...change a photo...change a picture...put up lighter weight curtains.... pull out the china...I'm in!! I love decorating for a good party! Especially a holiday.... When my five sons were in high School I let them know straight up... if you don't decorate this brown lunch bag for Valentines day... I'm not giving you nothing!! (They believed me???) Their extent of decorating the brown lunch bag was their name and possibly a heart. After each bag was completed it was put on my hutch to be filled with my excess of Valentine treats for each of them. Chocolate... licorice...Cashews...gummi worms...skittles. And, of course one mushy card from me. Although I might have heard a "You have got to be kidding Mom" for the most part they were such good sports... On Valentines Day I always got a card from each and a laugh as they checked out their brown bag filled with Valentine treats.

Hi Mom! Love the blog, and I think I remember getting a little creative with my brown paper bag and some well used Crayolas.
Hi Mary - I loved this story! I think most Moms with sons would especially enjoy it. Our Valentine's Day was always a wonderful celebration when the girls were growing up, as the younger one is a Valentine's baby! We invited godparents for dinner, opened our Valentine's box, did the birthday cake hoopla, and then birthday gifts ~ a gala and special evening that way for all of us. Hope you have a delightful 14th! Nancy
