"For Rent"

"How could I resist a pink tea pot birdhouse??? We have a gorgeous tri colored beech tree, that I rescued from a nursery....It was only four feet tall (if it was really stretching) and laying over on it's side....dirt spilling out of the container...and dry as a bone....Somehow, I knew I had to save it!
Baby animals and neglected nursery plants are a weakness of mine. As soon as we planted it under our front window it began to respond....Although a slow grower it blesses us with pink leaves through most of the year....In the Fall the leaves turn a gorgeous burgundy and bronze shade...I love this tree! It's explosion of color in the Spring makes me happy! And, how much fun to be a bird and take residance in such a beautiful spot!!

What a joy to find your blog!! We are kindred spirits, I find, both born 100 or so years later than our Victorian souls.

I will be back to visit you often and have added you to my favorite places to visit on a rainy afternoon.

Please come and see me and you will know what I am talking about.
